Tags and Labels

How to use

Systems can be grouped and tagged in multiple ways. One of them is groups, which can be assigned by the administrator via the web interface.

An alternative option is using a tag or a label. This way systems that have a similiarity can be marked as such. For example, all systems having nginx installed, will get the ’nginx’ tag.

Tags can also be assigned by the administrator on the client. They are then added as part of the data upload. This functionality might be very useful to automate the tagging when deploying the client via a configuration management solution (like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt, etc).
